VOLUME OF SUGAR SCHEDULED FOR SHIPMENTS GROWS TO 3.2 MILLION TONS

According to a research study carried out by shipping agency Williams Brasil, the number of ships waiting to load sugar in Brazilian ports increased to 78 during the week ending January 17, up from 73 the previous week. The scheduled loading of sugar was 3.240 million tons, up from 2.784 million tons the previous week. Santos (SP) is first with 2.505 million tons, followed by Paranaguá (524,756 tons) and other ports. The cargo consists of VHP, TBC, and Refined A-45 types. The average daily earnings from Brazilian sugar exports in January was USD 89,580 million, a considerable rise over January 2023.
