SUMMER CORN HARVEST IN PARANÁ REACHES 91% OF THE AREA, REPORTS DERAL

In Paraná, the removal of first harvest corn (summer) reached 25.91% of the planted area, advancing 4 percentage points in a week, reports the Department of Rural Economy (Deral). Planting for second-crop corn (safrinha) covers 99% of the area, up from 96% last week. Deral notes that 50% of the summer corn area shows good development, with 37% average and 13% poor conditions. Meanwhile, 86% of the second harvest corn area is in good condition, with 12% average and 2% poor, spanning germination, vegetative development, flowering, and fruiting phases.
