BRAZIL’S MARCH SUGAR EXPORTS REACH 2.281 MILLION TONS IN 16 DAYS

Brazil exported over 2.281 million tonnes of sugar and molasses in March up to now, with a revenue of $1.253 billion, according to Secex. Last week alone, shipments exceeded 700,000 tonnes. In February, exports from the sugar-energy sector totaled 3.017 million tonnes. Daily averages for sugar and molasses exports reached 142.62 thousand tonnes, nearly 80% higher than in 2023, with prices over 20% higher at $549.30 per ton. The data indicates a robust performance in Brazil’s sugar exports, with notable increases in both volume and revenue compared to the previous year.
