SUMMER 2023/24 CORN HARVEST REACHES 7.9% OF THE AREA IN THE CENTER-SOUTH, SHOWS AGRURAL

The harvest of the summer 2023/24 corn harvest reached 7.9% of the estimated area for Central-South Brazil, on Thursday, 18th, compared to 5.1% a week earlier and 5.9% a year ago, according to a survey by AgRural. According to the consultancy, the planting of the 2024 winter corn crop, the safrinha, reached 5% of the estimated area for the Center-South of Brazil, until last Thursday, driven by Paraná and Mato Grosso. The value represents an increase against 0.4% in the previous week and 1% in the same period last year.
