SOYBEAN PLANTING REACHES 96% OF AREAS IN RIO GRANDE DO SUL; CORN HARVEST BEGINS AMIDST LOSSES

Despite the delay, soybean planting in Rio Grande do Sul reached 96% of the areas, a weekly increase of 3 percentage points, while corn losses have been confirmed due to the drought, according to Emater-RS. Soybean sowing was 94% complete during the same period of the previous cycle. However, based on historical trends, the work should be completed by this time of year. In the weekly comparison, corn planting advanced only 1 point for 92% of the areas in Rio Grande do Sul. The percentage was 94% a year ago, and the period average is 97%.
