SOYBEAN OUTPUT IS EXPECTED TO REACH 152.8 MILLION TONS IN THE 2022/23 CROP YEAR

The first DATAGRO survey for the 2022/23 Brazilian soybean crop confirms almost all planting projections released in July 2022. The area is expected to reach 43.48 million hectares: “There is no doubt that Brazilian producers will increase soybean planting in the country for the 16th consecutive year, just as in 2020, and 2021”, said Flávio Roberto de França Junior, research leader at DATAGRO Grain. Potential production is 152.58 million tons, up 21% from the 126.58mt of the crop harvested this year. However, climate change is a pressing concern in the Center-South region during La Niña times.
