ÁGUIA FERTILIZANTES TO BUILD PHOSPHATE PLANT IN RIO GRANDE DO SUL

Aguia Fertilizantes reported having received a license to install a phosphate plant in Lavras do Sul (RS). “This project aims at serving the rich national agriculture, which still depends on imported fertilizers”, said a note from the CEO of Aguia, Fernando Tallarico. “We want to offer the market a natural product, with excellent cost-benefit, and 100% Brazilian.” The construction of the plant must be completed within 12 months. The projected investment is around BRL 35 million. “The company will deliver 300,000 tons of natural phosphate fertilizer to the market every year, being able to meet up to 15% of the demand in Rio Grande do Sul.”
