SCA BRASIL IS OPTIMISTIC ABOUT THE UPCOMING SUGARCANE HARVEST

Martinho Seiiti Ono, the CEO of SCA Brasil, is optimistic about the new sugarcane crop. Despite a reduction in crushing compared to the previous period, he projects a production of more than 600 million tons. Seiiti Ono believes that the 2024-2025 harvest will bring positive results due to favorable pricing of ethanol and sugar, as well as lower production costs. He also mentioned that the supply of corn ethanol has increased. Seiiti Ono forecasts the manufacture of approximately 32 billion liters of ethanol in the new harvest. However, he highlighted logistical challenges for corn ethanol compared to sugarcane ethanol.
