SANTOS PORT AUTHORITY PLANS BRL 7 BILLION INVESTMENT FOR 2024

The Santos Port Authority (APS) plans to initiate a series of projects in 2024 with a total investment of R$ 7 billion. The main actions include dredging the channel to -16 meters, dredging of berths, refurbishment of the Barnabé Island wharf, improvements to the right Bank-Alemoa ring road, installation of the image monitoring system (VTMIS), implementation of phase 2 of the Left Bank Ring Road, and the construction of the Santos-Guarujá tunnel. APS President Anderson Pomini announced the commitment during a press conference, emphasizing the importance of these projects for the operation and expansion of the Port of Santos. The delegation of responsibilities by the Minister of Ports and Airports was considered facilitating for these projects. Pomini also addressed other ongoing initiatives, including solutions for issues faced by truck drivers and port expansion.
