BRAZIL TOPS USD 300 BN IN EXPORTS FOR 2ND CONSECUTIVE YEAR

For the second consecutive year, Brazil surpasses the $300 billion mark in exports, with a positive balance of $86.512 billion in trade transactions in 2023, as revealed by the Foreign Trade Secretariat of the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade, and Services. In the third week of November, the trade surplus was $1.963 billion, with exports totaling $6.055 billion and imports reaching $4.092 billion. Cumulative exports until November 2023 show growth in sectors such as agriculture (32.2%) and Extractive Industry (24.7%), while imports record declines in Agriculture (-9.8%) and Extractive Industry (-23.0%). The trade flow up to the third week of November 2023 increased by 5.3% compared to November 2022.
