BRAZIL OPENS NEW MARKETS IN VIETNAM, THAILAND, TURKEY AND NEW ZEALAND FOR CORN MEAL EXPORTS

Brazil celebrates the opening of new markets in Vietnam, Thailand, Turkey, and New Zealand for the export of corn bran, a byproduct of ethanol production. The Distiller’s Dried Grains (DDG/DDGS) from the second corn crop are protein and energy sources in animal feed. Projections from ApexBrasil indicate that Brazilian corn ethanol production will reach 10.88 billion liters by 2031/2032, generating approximately 6.5 million tons of DDG/DDGS. This initiative, a result of collaboration between the Ministries of Agriculture and Livestock and Foreign Affairs, strengthens Brazil’s commitment to boost agribusiness and expand the supply of inputs for animal protein production. Currently, Brazil is the third-largest global corn producer.
