PORTS IN NORTHERN BRAZIL EXPERIENCE 25% GROWTH IN CARGO THROUGHPUT

Brazil’s record grain harvest and private investments in port infrastructure are fueling a surge in exports from Northern Arc ports, with a 25% increase in cargo throughput in 2023. Over 50% of Brazilian grain exports now originate from this region, led by Pará state with its extensive waterways and strategic port complex in Barcarena. Fluvial transportation offers a cost-effective and sustainable edge, attracting investments and making Northern Arc ports a competitive alternative to traditional routes.
