The Port Industrial Complex of Suape and the Maritime Authority of Panama (AMP) have signed a technical cooperation agreement to share innovative and successful plans for port operations and develop socio-environmental measures to promote sustainable economic growth. The institution in Panama is a single port authority responsible for 25 ports located outside the Panama Canal Zone, which also regulates five private terminals belonging to the megastructure that connects the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, over a length of 82 kilometers. The technical cooperation agreement between the Port of Suape and the Panama Canal aims to create connections with international partners and make new maritime routes viable.
