BRAZIL TO EXPORT 1M TONNES OF CORN BETWEEN JULY TO SEPTEMBER FROM PARANAGUÁ PORT

Members of the port community in Paranaguá, Paraná, expect corn shipments to reach 988.45 thousand tonnes between July and the end of September. This volume includes concluded shipments, the capacity of vessels waiting to berth, and scheduled shipments. No corn shipments are on record for the same period last year due to crop failure. Paranaguá is the second largest port in Brazil that exports corn, accounting for almost 20% of the country’s total. The grain’s three primary states of origin are Paraná, Mato Grosso, and Mato Grosso do Sul. The main destination countries for this type of cargo are Egypt, Iran, Spain, South Korea, and Portugal.
