PLANTING OF 2023/24 OFF-SEASON CORN IS CLOSED IN THE COUNTRY, REPORTS CONAB

The first corn crop harvest in Brazil has reached 56.7% of the planted area, showing a weekly increase of 3.8 percentage points but a 2.9 percentage point delay between seasons, according to Conab. São Paulo has finished its harvest, while Paraná leads with 96% completion, followed by Santa Catarina (90%) and Rio Grande do Sul (82%). Bahia has harvested 32.8% of its summer corn area, and Goiás has 6% completed. Additionally, Conab notes that the planting of the second corn harvest for the 2023/24 season is finished, remaining on par with the previous season’s progress.
