PARANÁ WILL PRODUCE 1.25 BILLION LITERS OF ETHANOL

Brazil’s ethanol output is expected to surpass 34 billion liters in the crop year 2023-24, with sugarcane accounting for 82%. The state of Paraná contributes 1.25 billion liters and shows growth potential. These figures are provided by the Agricultural Conjuncture Bulletin of the Department of Rural Economy (Deral). São Paulo tops the production with 36%. Corn ethanol production has increased dramatically, from 9% to 18% in four years, reaching 6.1 billion liters, particularly in Mato Grosso. However, the quality of Paraná’s corn harvests has deteriorated, with 72% in good condition, 20% ordinary, and 8% poor.
