MINAS GERAIS GRAIN OUTPUT SEEN UP 3% IN 2025/26 HARVEST

Grain output in Minas Gerais is projected at 18.9 million tonnes in 2025/26, up 3% year-on-year, according to Conab, with harvest progress confirming estimates. Growth is led by corn and beans, while soybean output remains broadly flat at 9.1 million tonnes (-0.3%). Total corn production is expected at 7 million tonnes (+6.9%), supported by higher yields and area expansion; first crop reached 4.6 million tonnes (+20.5%), while the second crop is seen at 2.4 million tonnes (-12.2%). Bean output is forecast at 499.8k tonnes (+8%), with gains across all three cycles. Sorghum production is set at 1.6 million tonnes (+10%). Nationally, Brazil’s grain crop is estimated at a record 356.3 million tonnes (+1.2%), supported by favorable weather conditions.
