IMEA MAINTAINS ESTIMATE FOR MATO GROSSO’S CORN HARVEST AT 43.28 MILLION TONS

The Mato Grosso Institute of Agricultural Economics (Imea) maintained its estimate for the 2023/24 corn harvest at 43.28 million tons, unchanged from the February forecast. This represents a 17.58% decrease from the previous cycle due to weather challenges. Imea emphasizes that climatic conditions will play a crucial role in determining final productivity, with the potential for revisions as the crop develops.
