FERTILIZERS: US DOLLAR PRICES MUST FALL IN NEXT MONTHS

Fertilizer prices in US dollar are expected to fall slightly in the coming months, reflecting the fall in prices of input raw materials in the international market, commented Fertilizers Heringer CEO Dalton Heringer. MAP (monoammonium phosphate) values fell 10% in the second quarter of the year in the international market, while potassium chloride (KCl) fell 2% and urea rose 15%, according to data presented by Heringer. About the prospects for Brazilian agriculture and, consequently, the fertilizer business, Dalton Heringer commented on the forecast of the National Supply Company (Conab) that the 2018/2019 grain harvest will reach 240.652 million tons, compared to 227.675 million tons last season.
