The clash between China and the United States is indeed bringing positive impacts to Brazil. Only in the first quarter of this year did the country export a total of 12.9 million tons of soyabeans to the Chinese, 25% more than the 10.4 million tons sold in the same period last year. The data were released by the Secretariat of Foreign Trade (Secex). The quantity shipped amounted to US $ 4.7 billion to Brazil, 15% more than the US $ 4 billion last year, that is, it yielded less than the country sold, which shows that the price paid for the grain this year is really smaller. Spain is the second largest buyer of soyabeans in Brazil, with 737.1K tons, 606.3K in the same period of the previous year. In third place is the Netherlands with 385K tons, gain of 16%.
