Brazil’s soybean crop protection market reached US$10 billion in the 2025/26 season, up 6% from US$9.45 billion a year earlier, according to Kynetec Brazil. Growth was supported by a 1.5% increase in planted area, exceeding 47 million hectares, and a rise in treatment intensity, with average applications climbing from 30.5 to 33.2 per field. Fungicides remained the largest segment, generating US$3.9 billion and accounting for 39% of total sales, followed by herbicides at US$2.5 billion and insecticides at US$2.3 billion. Nematicides posted the strongest growth, with sales rising 28% to US$320 million. The potential treated area for nematode control expanded from 22.5 million to 31.5 million hectares, while adoption of nematode-resistant soybean varieties continued to increase across major producing regions.
