Minas Gerais generated US$5.8 billion in agribusiness exports between January and April 2026, shipping 4.8 million tonnes to more than 160 countries. Export revenue fell 11.9% year on year, while volumes declined 9.3%, yet the state still accounted for 10.6% of Brazil’s agribusiness exports. Coffee remained the leading export, bringing in US$3.2 billion from shipments of 7.4 million bags, despite lower values and volumes versus a year earlier. The soy complex ranked second with US$1.14 billion in sales. Meat exports were the strongest performer among major sectors, rising 8.2% in value to US$576.7 million. The European Union remained the largest destination market, importing US$1.7 billion in products, equivalent to 29.6% of the state’s agribusiness export portfolio.
