BRAZIL SOY EXPORTS EXCEED 100 MILLION TONS IN 2023

In 2023, Brazil’s soybean, soybean meal, and corn exports achieved record-breaking numbers, with 101.3 million tons of soybeans shipped, surpassing 2022’s 77.8 million. Soybean meal exports increased from 20.3 to 22.7 million tons, while corn exports reached an unprecedented 55.6 million tons, compared to 44.6 million in 2022. Wheat exports decreased from 3.2 to 2.4 million tons. China remained the primary buyer, receiving 75% of Brazilian soybeans and accounting for the majority of corn purchases. January projections indicate strong corn exports of 3.3 million tons, growing soybean exports to 1.3 million tons, soybean meal to 1.7 million, and wheat to 603.5 thousand tons.
