ANTAQ POSTPONES PUBLIC HEARING ON SANTOS ACCESS CHANNEL CONCESSION

Brazil’s waterway regulator ANTAQ has postponed the public hearing on the concession of the Santos port access channel, with a new date yet to be announced. The session will be held in hybrid format, including an in-person stage in Brasília. The deadline for stakeholder submissions was extended to July 1, 2026, allowing additional input from operators and investors. Contributions must be filed through the official electronic form, with technical attachments submitted separately. The project is central to the management of Brazil’s main port channel, with direct implications for draft, capacity and overall port efficiency at the country’s largest trade gateway.
