WITH BRL 800 M SLATED FOR INVESTMENTS, ARATU TERMINALS EYES FULL MODERNIZATION BY APRIL 2025

CS Portos, a part of the Simpar Group, will showcase its infrastructure modernization efforts at Intermodal South America 2024. Highlighting terminals ATU12 and ATU18 in Aratu, the company plans to increase productivity significantly. With an investment of over R$ 800 million in the first 3 years, loading and unloading rates are set to increase from 300 to 2,000 tonnes/hour, and throughput capacity from 2 to 12.5 million tonnes/year. The focus on bulk minerals aims to establish Aratu as a key export gateway for soybean and corn. CEO Marcos Tourinho expects these investments to boost the state’s economy and job creation.
