WHEAT: ACCORDING TO THE USDA, BRAZIL SHOULD EXPORT 3.5 MILLION TONS IN 2022/23

Brazil should import 5.6 million tons of wheat in 2022/23. According to the attache of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) in the country, on 21/22, 6.582 million tons were purchased. Stocks at the beginning of 22/23 are estimated at 693 thousand tons. Seasonal production is estimated at 9.66 million tons. Thus, the supply is forecasted at 15.953 million tons. Exports should go from 3.105 million tons on 21/22 to 3.5 million in 22/23. The country’s consumption is estimated at 11.7 million tons. Closing stocks should remain at 753 thousand tons.
