THE PORT OF RIO GRANDE IS OPERATING NORMALLY, STATES PORTOS RS.

The Port of Rio Grande, the main terminal in Rio Grande do Sul, is operating normally, according to Portos RS, the public company that manages the state’s port system. This information differs from that released by the Minister of Ports and Airports, Silvio Costa Filho, on Monday. Portos RS stated that they are monitoring the situation in Rio Grande daily due to the possibility of flooding in the coming days. Meteorology maintains flood alerts in the region, with high-risk areas being evacuated. The Wilson Sons company, which manages the Rio Grande Container Terminal (Tecon), confirmed normal operations, including ship operations and cargo handling. However, terminals in Pelotas and Porto Alegre remain closed due to heavy rains and flooding.
