THE GROSS VALUE OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION IN PARANÁ GREW 6% TO 191 BILLION IN 2022

In 2022, Paraná’s Gross Value of Agricultural Production (GPV) reached BRL 191.2 billion, an increase of 6% from the GPV of 2021 (BRL 180.6 billion). About 350 diverse goods, including cereals, animal proteins, fruits, floriculture, forestry, and a wide range of agricultural products, are contemplated by the GPV. Despite the decline, soy continued to be the product with the highest value, reaching BRL 35.78 billion. Broiler came in second with BRL 34.6 billion, followed by corn with BRL 20.2 billion, and milk with BRL 11.4 billion. The report attests to the GPV’s formation’s leadership in livestock production. With BRL 96.7 billion, the industry accounts for 51% of the value generated by rural properties in Paraná in 2022.
