THE GROSS VALUE OF AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTION IN BRAZIL COULD REACH BRL 1.179 TRILLION IN 2023

The Gross Value of Agricultural Production (GPV) is expected to increase by 3.8% from the BRL 1.135 trillion figure in 2022 to BRL 1.179 trillion in 2023. This value is impacted by the decrease in the price of a number of agricultural commodities, such as corn, soy, and wheat, essential for calculating the GPV. Soybean and corn producers receive payments of 8.93% and 14.37% less than what they received in April. The estimated crop revenue is BRL 835.5 billion, up 6.3% from the previous year. Soybeans, corn, sugarcane, coffee, and cotton are the five most significant products, accounting for 58.25% of the total GPV.
