THE COUNTRY’S FIRST CORN CROP IS HARVESTED IN 59.8% OF THE AREA, SHOWS CONAB

As of last Sunday, April 28, Brazil’s first corn harvest reached 59.8% of the planted area, according to Conab’s weekly survey. This progress marks a 3.1 percentage point increase per week but also a 3.8 percentage point delay compared to previous seasons. São Paulo has completed its harvest, while Paraná leads with 97% of the area harvested, followed by Santa Catarina (93%) and Rio Grande do Sul (83%). Bahia harvested 41.8% of its summer corn area, while Goiás has worked 12% of its area.
