STONEX PROJECTS SECOND LARGEST SUGAR PRODUCTION FOR 2023/24 IN BRAZIL’S CENTRAL-SOUTH

Sugar output in Brazil’s center-south is expected to reach 38.3 million tons in the 2023/24 crop year, according to StoneX, which released its fifth revision on Thursday (27). If confirmed, it is a 13.9% increase over 2022/23 and the second greatest ever recorded, after only the 2020/21 period, according to the company. StoneX expects 607.7 million tons of cane crushing in the region in the 2023/24 cycle, which would be the second biggest sugarcane crushing on record.
