SOYBEANS PRODUCTION SOARS 82% IN PARANÁ

Soybean farmers in the state of Paraná can now finally celebrate. After seeing their crops affected by a severe drought in the 2021/22 season, the situation is now different. According to Marcelo Garrido, head of the Department of Rural Economics (Deral-PR), even though planting was delayed by intense rainfall, the harvest in Paraná will be a record. The organ claims that the state’s grain harvest is essentially complete, with 94% of the planted area. According to the National Supply Company’s (Conab), soybean production in Paraná has increased by 82%. From the 12,250 million tons seen last year, 22,300 million tons are now expected for the current season.
