SOYBEAN TRADES ARE 92.6% OF THE 21/22 CROP AND 23.6% OF THE CURRENT CROP

The sale of the 2021/22 soybean crop in Brazil accounts for 92.6% of projected production, according to a report by Safras & Mercado, with data collected up to December 8. In the same period last year, trading was at 93.6% and the five-year average for the period is 96%. Considering a season estimated at 127.44 million tons, the total amount of soybeans traded by now is 117.95 million tons. Advance sales for the 2022/23 crop slightly increased in the period. Considering an estimated harvest of 154.532 million tons, Safras projects earlier commercialization of 23.6%, about 36.52 million tons. In the same period last year, previous sales reached 32.5%.
