SOYBEAN MOVES BRL 165 MILLION PER DAY IN THE PORT OF PARANAGUÁ

The soy complex, which includes soy in grain, soybean meal, and soy oil, is one of the main cargo handling groups in the ports of Paranaguá and Antonina. It moved approximately USD 34 million per day from January to July of this year. In total, 13,237,594 tons of the three products were shipped from the ports of Paraná. Soy in grain accounted for most of the shipments at 8,478,722 tons, followed by soybean meal at 3,787,033 tons and soy oil at 971,839 tons. The movement generated USD 7.3 billion in the first seven months of 2023. Luiz Fernando Garcia, the CEO of Ports of Paraná, points out that this group accounts for a large share of exports through the ports of Paraná, with 55% of all cargo shipped abroad from January to July.
