SOYBEAN EXPORTS SURGE IN MARCH 2026

Brazil exported 23.46 Mt of soybeans in Q1 2026 (+5.93% YoY), supported by a record crop. March shipments reached 14.52 Mt (+105% m/m). China lifted 9.97 Mt (-10.39% YoY). Mato Grosso shipped 4.84 Mt (+4.39%). Higher supply pressured prices: Cepea at BRL 127.93/sc (-0.42% w/w); Mato Grosso averaged BRL 105.54/sc (-1.53% m/m). Sales reached 63.31% of the 2025/26 crop. CBOT Mar-27 traded at US$11.60/bu (+0.26%). Corn prices declined; Mato Grosso quoted BRL 45.25/sc (spot) and BRL 44.65/sc (forward). Exports rose 12.68% YoY in March, though Mato Grosso shipments fell 55.61% m/m; the state still accounts for 72.96% of exports YTD. Cotton prices increased (BRL 121.61/@, +4.27% m/m), with Mato Grosso exports at 1.38 Mt in 2024/25, a record, holding 59.04% share.
