SOYBEAN EXPORTS REACHED 5.53 MILLION TONS

Brazil exported 5.53 million tons of soybeans in October 2023, with China being one of the top buyers. Although there was a 13.52% decrease compared to the previous month, the volume still represents a significant 45.67% increase compared to the same period last year. Year-to-date, shipments were 92.78 million tons, representing a 17.84% increase over 2022. Mato Grosso was the leading national exporter, accounting for 29.34% of the total volume. Due to low river levels, recent challenges at the Northern Arc ports have resulted in a shift to the South Arc for export in recent months.
