AGRICULTURE EXPORTS WERE USD 13.38 BILLION IN OCTOBER

The revenue generated by Brazilian agriculture exports amounted to USD 13.38 billion in October 2023, accounting for 45.4% of Brazil’s total exports. Despite a 2.3% drop in October 2022, the export volume increased significantly due to a record harvest. Notably, soybean exports increased by 45.7% YoY, reaching 5.53 million tons, with China being the largest buyer. Corn exports hit a record 8.44 million tons, again with China as the main importer. Sugar exports also increased by almost 15.4%, reaching USD 1.50 billion in October 2023. Brazilian agriculture exports have reached USD 139.58 billion so far this year, a 3% rise over the previous year. Most of these exports were delivered to Asia, with China being the single largest client market.
