SANTA CATARINA AUTHORIZES DISBURSEMENT OF R$19.6 MILLION FOR INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS IN IMBITUBA

The government of Santa Catarina has authorized the disbursement of R$19.6 million for two infrastructure projects in Imbituba. R$17.6 million will be used to revitalize Avenida Renato Ramos da Silva, the city’s South Access. The funds will come from the financial dividends of the Port of Imbituba. The other R$2 million will be used to pave Avenida Central in Praia do Rosa, in the Ibiraquera neighborhood. The funds will come from the State Government. The projects are important to improve mobility and traffic safety in the city. The revitalization of Avenida Renato Ramos da Silva will improve access to the Port of Imbituba, which is an important economic hub in the state. The paving of Avenida Central in Praia do Rosa will improve the tourism infrastructure in the neighborhood, which is one of the main tourist destinations on the southern coast of Santa Catarina.
