The SCPar-managed ports of São Francisco do Sul and Imbituba set handling records in 2024. São Francisco do Sul imported 3.9 million tons of steel, 2.6 million tons of fertilizer, and exported 2.4 million tons of corn and 7 million tons of soybeans. Grain transport accounted for 79.2% of Imbituba’s 8.3 million tons handled, followed by minerals (3.7 million) and agricultural goods (2.9 million). The United States, Chile, China, and Colombia accounted for 40.5% of imports, while Iran, Canada, Vietnam, and China were the top export destinations, accounting for 49.4%. The movement was boosted by transshipment (0.8%) and cabotage (9.3%). Both ports surpassed 2023 volumes, solidifying their position as important Brazilian export and import logistical centers.
