PR 2025/26 CROP: SOYBEAN COMPLEX BOOSTS EXPORTS

Paraná exported 6.72 million metric tons of the soybean complex in January-May 2026, up 8% year on year from 6.2 million tons, according to Deral. Export momentum accelerated soybean sales and helped free warehouse capacity ahead of the corn harvest. Export revenue reached US$2.94 billion, an 18% increase from US$2.50 billion a year earlier. Soybean oil posted the strongest performance, with exports generating a 59% rise in revenue. Nationally, soybean complex shipments totaled 66.2 million tons, up 7% year on year, while export earnings increased 15% to more than US$27 billion. Deral also highlighted Paraná’s annatto sector, which generated R$27.5 million in gross production value from a 1,600 ton crop. Paranacity, Brazil’s leading producer, recently secured Geographical Indication status, supporting value-added opportunities in food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics markets.
