PORTS OF PARANÁ HAVE SEEN A 4% GROWTH IN GENERAL CARGO HANDLING YEAR-TO-DATE

The ports of Paranaguá and Antonina have handled a total of 36,060,696 tons year-to-date. This is an increase in port operations compared to the same period in the previous year, which saw a total of 34,576,652 tons handled. The increase is due to the strong performance of the East Export Corridor of the Port of Paranaguá, which handled 12,975,534 tons of vegetable bulk in the period. This seven-month volume is the largest ever recorded by the port complex and sets a new historical record, surpassing the previous mark set in 2020, which saw 12,924,748 tons shipped during the first seven months of the year.
