The Porto Murtinho Port Terminal, on the Paraguay River, was auctioned for R$30.5 million, an 83% increase over its initial price of R$16.6 million. The buyer, a company from Mato Grosso do Sul, will be announced after legal formalities. Covering 47,000 square meters, the port includes warehouses, a truck scale, compressors, and an administrative center. Inactive since 2022, its reactivation is expected to boost the local economy and strengthen infrastructure. State secretary Frederico Fellini emphasized that the high auction price reflects investor confidence in Mato Grosso do Sul’s economic potential.
