PORT OF SÃO SEBASTIÃO OPENS DIRECT HIGHWAY ACCESS

A new direct road link between the Tamoios Southern Bypass and the Port of São Sebastião entered service on July 8, allowing trucks to access the terminal without crossing the city’s urban area. The project comprises a 280-meter overpass, two access ramps and a dedicated connection to the port’s internal road network, streamlining cargo flows and reducing heavy vehicle traffic in downtown São Sebastião. The BRL 55 million investment created around 180 jobs during construction. The new access is part of the port’s integration with the 23-km Southern Bypass, opened in 2024, which cut travel time between Caraguatatuba and São Sebastião from about 45 minutes to 16 minutes.
