PORT OF SANTOS PRESIDENT TALKS OF “Subtle Action” OF GLO TO AVOID AFFECTING FREIGHT AND UNLOADING MOVEMENT

On the first day of GLO operations at ports and airports in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, Navy commanders met with representatives of the Port Authority of Santos to discuss the strategy of the task force against organized crime. The operation is still being structured and the troops are still arriving in Santos. The president of the Port Authority of Santos, Anderson Pomini, said that the companies that operate at the port support the measure, but that it is important that it does not affect logistics. Pomini also stated that the use of the port by drug trafficking factions causes losses to exporters.
