PORT OF PARANAGUÁ HANDLES MORE THAN 100 TONS OF SOYBEANS PER MINUTE

The Port of Paranaguá has set a record by handling 146,000 tons of soybeans in just 24 hours, which is equivalent to more than 100 tons every minute. The operation took place between April 20 and 21 and is 5% larger than the previous record set in 2019. The shipment was intended for China and Spain, and three berths were in operation. The CEO of Portos do Paraná has credited the company’s success to investments made in port management. Additionally, since August 2023, the ports have set eight consecutive monthly production records, with soybeans, sugar, and fertilizers being particularly notable.
