PORT OF CABEDELO LAUNCHES CAPACITY-ENHANCING DREDGING WORKS

The dredging project for the access channel and turning basin of the Port of Cabedelo in João Pessoa commenced on Monday (11). The deepening of the channel from 9.14 meters to 11 meters allows the terminal to receive larger vessels, accommodating ships of up to 55,000 tonnes. One of the key goals of this change is to enhance the port’s competitiveness and generate new jobs. Approximately BRL 120 million were invested in the project, financed by the Paraíba State Government. Additionally, two warehouses, refurbished at a cost of R$5 million, were delivered.
