PLANTING OF SAFRINHA CORN IN PARANÁ REACHES 32% OF THE PLANNED AREA, SAYS DERAL.

The harvest of the first corn crop in Paraná is already 36% complete, according to data released this Tuesday by the Department of Rural Economy (Deral). The advance was 17 percentage points in seven days. The index was 4% at the same time last year. The state is the second producer of cereal in the country. Of the crops, 66% are in good condition, 28% in average condition and 6% in poor condition. The stages of corn crops are as follows: 1% are in flowering; 25% in fruiting and 74% in the ripening phase. The second corn crop in Paraná was planted in 32% of the projected area, a weekly increase of ten percentage points. This is the strongest pace since 2019 for the season (47%). Of the total, 91% of the crops were in good condition and 9% were average.
