The 2022/23 sugarcane season saw improved weather conditions, aiding field recovery. However, finances of sugar-energy companies analyzed by Pecege Consultoria e Projetos didn’t significantly benefit. Analyzing 77 groups encompassing 135 agro-industrial units, which crushed 328 million tons of sugarcane (54% of national volume), the study looked at economic-financial indicators. The data, spanning fiscal years ending December 2022 and March 2023, aimed to provide a comprehensive view of the Center-South and North-Northeast regions.
