PARANA TO BREAK SOYBEAN RECORD IN THE 22/23 CROP

Over an area of 5.76 million hectares, soybean farmers in the state of Paraná may produce around 20.89 million tons of soy in the first harvest of 2022/2023. If confirmed, this volume will be the biggest in Paraná’s recorded history. A 70% rise in production volume is expected for the soybean crop compared to the harvest of 2021–2022, which saw 12.31 million tons produced. The grain harvest advanced to 17% of the area this week, and 85% of the crops are in good condition, 12% are in medium condition, and 3% are in poor condition. Paraná is expected to produce 41.07 million tons of grains in the 2022–2023 cycle, according to Larissa Nahirny, the head at Deral.
