NEWLY LICENSED PORT PARATUDAL PROMISES TO REVOLUTIONIZE CARGO LOGISTICS IN MATO GROSSO BY 2026

The Port Paratudal, currently in the licensing phase in Cáceres, promises to revolutionize cargo logistics in Mato Grosso by 2026. This large port terminal will be part of a system connecting Mato Grosso to the Paraguay-Paraná waterways, enabling the transportation of grains, fertilizers, and containers, as well as linking the state to the La Plata Basin, connecting it to Uruguay and Argentina and boosting exports. The privately initiated project requires an investment of R$500 million. The port complex has already obtained the Preliminary License and is awaiting the Installation License. Construction is set to commence in July 2024. The port has the potential to handle around 5 million tons of grains annually, bolstering the region’s economy and creating direct and indirect jobs. The Cáceres Port is expected to be operational by the 2026 harvest.
